The Chinese Educational Technology Association in Higher Education

The Chinese Educational Technology Association in Higher Education (“Association”) is a non-profit organisation established in 1999 under the support of Department of Higher Education of Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. Its mission is to promote the appropriate use of information technology among higher education institutes, thus enhancing the quality of higher education.

In the past decade, the Association actively participated in major educational resources establishment projects under Department of Higher Education of Ministry of Education, and recommended many accreditation experts for the major educational resources establishment projects (e.g. the New Century Network Course Establishment Project and the National Great Course Project) in the PRC. Higher education teacher’s trainings for education technology as organised by the Association have advanced the development of the use of technology for higher education teaching in the PRC. Currently, the Association has over 120 university members.
