Peking University is pleased to announce that the 7th eLearning Forum Asia 2012 event (“Forum”) will be held at the Lakeview Hotel in Beijing from 24-27 April 2012.  As a key university which was originally established in the People’s Republic of China (“China”) in 1898, Peking University is situated near the historical sites of Yuanmingyuan Garden and the Summer Palace.  Located in the Haidian District, western suburb of Beijing, the campus of Peking University is known as “Yan Yuan” (the garden of Yan), which covers a total area of 2,743,532 square metres (or 274 hectares).

The Forum will invite educators and business professionals to come together to discuss the learning of the next generation, the future trends and innovative methods of teaching, and the different impacts and changes that may affect students’ learning.

The Forum aims to raise concerns about the impact and changes of the rise of technology on student learning. Teachers, teaching and research staff, and technical research staff will have the opportunity to focus on the theme of the Forum of “Next Generation Learning: Visions, Innovations and Possibilities”. Discussion topics include:

* learning environment of the next generation

* personal learning environment (personal learning experience)

* learning methods of the next generation

* methods for promoting learning
