Engaging the Feedback Generation: Participative learning and
teaching using Learner Response Systems (Clickers)

Abstract:

The learners of today crave feedback; from both their educators and peers. They also want to have a
say in their learning, to feel empowered and be co-constructors of learning together with their educators.
This workshop aims to introduce the teaching strategies and the practical steps to engage your students
in a participative learning environment using the learner response system called Clickers.
The course also aims to introduce the theoretical underpinnings of why educators today need to
engage the feedback generation via learner response systems such as the Clickers, allowing a better
examination of when to introduce such technology in your own learning and teaching subjects.
