Increasing Institutional Agility with Performance Support (When training just doesn’t work)!
Matt Baker
Executive Director, BEENET
Abstract:
There are unpredictable, unrelenting, and unforgiving changes in the environment confronting institutions today. To survive, institutions must become increasingly adaptive in how they learn, unlearn, and relearn in the workplace. Traditional approaches to staff training fall short of addressing the full range of efforts required to gain and sustain effective performance. In order to sustain high levels of adoption and effective performance, institutions require the right methodology and a performance support technology infrastructure. As a result, they are able to learn and adapt to the speed of change and spend more time in teaching.
This session will:
- Describe how institutions are successfully cutting half the time it takes to gain and sustain effective workplace performance with faculty and staff;
- Introduce three foundational principles for an effective learning and performance methodology;
- Provide you with a tool for assessing where your organization is and where it needs to be in order to optimize its capacity to learn and adapt to the speed of change;
- Share an example of a “Transformational” Performance Support Solution (optional)
